E-safety

"The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children’s. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.

You might be struggling to keep up with the things your child is doing online, you might wonder whether what they are doing is safe, and you might also be thinking how can I be as good a parent online as I am offline?"

At CBJS we believe that parents and school need to work together to know how our children are using the internet, mobile phones and gaming and to help keep them as safe online as we aim to keep them offline.  We aim to educate our pupils in strategies for staying safe online, making them aware not only of the opportunities the internet offers, but also of potential pitfalls and by allowing them to make responsible choices both in and out of school.

We also aim to support parents in educating their children in e-safety issues and this area of the website should give you some useful information and resources, both to inform you about online trends (what children are doing online) and strategies for staying safe, as well as helping you educate your child and share in their increasingly online world.
