Over the past few weeks a group of year 6 and 5 students have been working with our PE Leader, Mr Bird along with our new sports apprentice Mr Elwell and local School Games organiser, Hollie Williams to perfect a variety of disciplines within athletics.
These disciplines’ consists of
• obstacle relay
• 1+1 relay
• 2+2 relay
• 6 lap paarlauf
• Over/under relay
• 4x1 lap relay
• Chest push
• Standing long jump
• Standing triple jump
• Vertical jump
• Standing soft javelin
• speed bounce
• At the end of their training, our talented squad competed at North Solihull Sports Centre against many other local schools for the chance to be crowned Sports Hall Athletics Champions 2018. We are very proud of their 4th place finish.
