Flourishing Fivers

4 July 2017 (by castleb)

Year 6 took part in the Flourishing Fivers Challenge this year. The year 6 children were all given £5 by Age UK to create a business.

All of the money raised then went to the charity. The children had great fun designing their businesses and really showed their 'Alan Sugar' skills in coming up with ideas that made fantastic profits, with some groups making over £100. In total the year 6 children made a £703.90 profit. This means a cheque for £1303.90 will be going to Age UK Solihull. In addition to this, the school Friends group also offered to match any money raised up to the value of £250 for the children to use towards their Prom. The year 6 children thank you for your support with this fantastic event. We definitely have some future Entrepreneurs in year 6!
